South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks
Boat License Valid?South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks — 3/6/2006"Boating season is quickly approaching, and while performing all the needed checks and services to prepare the boat for months of fun, remember to check the license," said Game, Fish and Parks Regional Law Enforcement Specialist Bruce Nachtigall of Rapid City. "Each year, many boaters forget to check that sticker on each side of the bow, and by taking a moment to care for that now, boaters can eliminate getting land-locked later." Nachtigall also reminds anglers to buy this year's fishing license, as South Dakota's 2005 licenses expired Jan. 31. Boat licenses and registrations can be purchased at county treasurer's offices. General hunting and fishing licenses may be purchased at license agents located around the state. Internet license sales are available through the GFP website at www.sdgfp.info.
